Toyota News: Toyota’s Safety Software Gets a ‘THUMS’ Up From Football Players
Toyota’s T.H.U.M.S. software stands for Total Human Model for Safety. This is an advanced simulation tool that measures the internal injuries crash test dummies would sustain if human. It also provides hard data for researchers to use.
Not only does this software help cars become safer, but the Wake Forest University Football Team is applying this technology to treat injured football players and using their findings to improve protection gear like football helmets.
Toyota is committed to safety whether it’s own the highway or on your local football field. For more about T.H.U.M.S. watch the video below:

New Toyota Car: The Updated 2011 Toyota Avalon
Consumer Reports reviews the 2011 Toyota Avalon in the video below. While having a look at the car during the 2010 New York Auto show, they found the updated Avalon kept all the features drivers have come to expect while making improvements.
The Toyota Avalon has always been a standard for luxury and this year’s model is no different. Looking at the exterior, Toyota has tweaked the look to give a more modern feel as well as making the interior of the car “almost limo class.” The reviewer was especially impressed with the car’s brake override system, which he thought should be standard on more vehicles.

Portland Toyota Dealer: Toyota 4Runner Keeps its Rugged Charm
Edmunds Inside Line reviews the 2010 Toyota 4Runner in the video below. Overall, Edmunds finds that the Toyota 4Runner is a purist’s SUV which has all the capabilities you have come to expect. Unlike its competitors, the 4Runner has done this while still maintaining its rugged, off-road image.
One of the most interesting features of the 4Runner is it’s Push Button Crawl Control. Watch as the 4Runner ascends a nearly vertical gravel track. As it starts its way down, the driver initiates the Push Button Crawl Control. This button allows the driver to descend on tricky terrain in a even-paced manner.

The Toyota Sienna has many versatile features for those needing a little extra room. The Sienna offers comfortable, modern styling and has room for up to 8 passengers. It also has a great rear seat entertainment system, perfect for occupying the kids on that upcoming roadtrip.
They have given a lot of options that people haven’t seen in minivans before – Allyson Harwood
Best of all, the 2011 Toyota Sienna is a fuel efficient vehicle. The review says the Sienna will receive 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway, which would make it best in class.
