Toyota News: Toyota Sponsors “Ideas For Good” Campaign

Toyota Motor Company is running a campaign that invites consumers to come up to come up with ideas for using automotive technologies outside the realm of cars and trucks, shares an interesting NY Times article.

Encouraging customers to submit ideas that springboard from technologies like the advanced parking guidance system available on the Toyota Prius. Toyota Motors has pledged to bring to fruition the five best ideas submitted by consumers.

Toyota’s goal is “showing how we can improve the quality of life” [of consumers] said Bill Fay, group vice president for marketing at Toyota Motor Sales USA in Torrance, Calif.

Consumers can go to a section of the Toyota Web site to learn more and will have until Feb. 28 to submit their ideas, which will then be judged by an independent panel.
