Scion Dealers Portland: Scion Unveils Revamped tC for 2011
This interesting New York Times article describes Scion cars as blending “performance, price and aesthetics in optimal measure.” The Scion arm of Toyota’s brand has been pursuing these youth-positive goals since 2003.
Scion’s value conscious fans will cheer the low price-point and the robust standard features like 18-inch wheels, a 300-watt, 8-speaker Pioneer sound system, the gorgeous moonroof, 4-wheel disc brakes, traction control and, crucially, 180 horsepower.
Drivers will enjoy the thick purposeful steering wheel which tilts and telescopes for comfort. The exterior offers clean lines and design features reminiscent of a drag racer. This open canvas should appeal to the thriving Scion aftermarket fans, who will surely equip the new tC with personalized distinctiveness.
The 2.5 liter 4-cylinder engine thrives in the lower spectrum with feather light steering, and accelerates through road turns with a firmly planted chassis. Well designed rear sight lines provide wide visibility, even with two passengers in the rear seats. With an 8.2, 0-60 acceleration rate and great fuel-economy the 2011 tC speeds you to a weekend drive to the Willamette vineyards as well as zippy daily commutes.

Detroit News published a recent article on Toyota’s announcement about two new Scion cars. The redesigned Scion tC and Scion iQ proves that Scion is making quality cars that not only fit your needs, but does so in style.
The redesigned Scion tC will have a more powerful and more fuel efficient engine. With an improved sound system too, the Scion tC will make drivers smile as they cruise down the highway to their favorite songs.
The Scion iQ will be the fourth Scion vehicle when introduced in March. The car is only 10-feet long, but seats 4 comfortable. This small car is perfect the young adult who wants a versatile car to zip around town in.
